Junior Mentee of the Month
“Ashaad is a shining example of focus, compassion, and quiet leadership. A consistent honor roll student, Ashaad brings dedication and humility to everything he does—whether it’s in the classroom, on the basketball court, or supporting his family at home.
Over the past year, Ashaad has continued to set the bar high academically, earning a 3.8 GPA while balancing athletics and community involvement.
Ashaad’s curiosity, kindness, and commitment to growth make him a standout among his peers. His long-term goal is to attend St. Augustine High School, where he hopes to challenge himself academically and athletically while continuing to represent his community with pride.”

“Cedric has been phenomenal since he joined Son of a Saint as a mentor. He is intentional about showing up to programming that he may not even be interested in, to support our mentees and organization in any area that is needed.
His ability to lead by example has set the tone for other mentors, and he has inspired our mentees to step out of their comfort zones. Cedric has truly gone above and beyond for our mentees.
Recently, Cedric was paired with mentee Julius, and he has already been instrumental in his growth, consistently ensuring he feels supported both academically and personally.”
