Mission
Growing up without a father leaves a void that can shape every part of a boy’s life—his sense of self, his path through school, and his vision for the future. In New Orleans, far too many boys face this reality alone, navigating complex challenges without consistent male guidance.
Son of a Saint exists to change that.
Transforming Lives
Serving New Orleans since 2011
In 2011, Son of a Saint began with a simple but powerful idea: one boy, one mentor, and the belief that dedicated care can change a life.
This is why we accept young men ages 10-12 who have lost a father due to death, long-term incarceration of 15 years or more, that can be verified, adoption by a single mother, or a young man whose father has been deported.
Along the way, we’ve witnessed the impact: mentees becoming mentors, families gaining stability, and neighborhoods growing stronger.
More Than Mentorship
There is a Need That Cannot Be Ignored
In our city, so many boys face barriers they didn’t create and challenges they shouldn’t have to face alone. These are systemic gaps—access to quality education, emotional support, and safe spaces—that, without intervention, can limit what a child dares to dream for himself. Our programs don’t just respond to crises; they prevent them, giving boys the opportunity to write their own story.

Our Model Works
Logic Model
Real transformation doesn’t happen by chance—it takes intention, structure, and a clear path forward. Our Logic Model lays out a framework for how boys progress through every stage of our program, from early engagement to stepping confidently into adulthood.
This evidence-based approach ensures our efforts create meaningful, lasting outcomes—not only for individual participants but for families and the wider fabric of our city.
It’s a proven blueprint for breaking cycles and shaping a vibrant future.

It’s Up to Us
Reshaping Our Community
The future of our city isn’t written yet—it’s shaped by the choices we make today. Every boy we mentor, every family we support, every partnership we build is part of a bigger story: one where resilience replaces despair, and opportunity takes root where it’s needed most. This work is urgent, but it’s also filled with possibilities.
