Enterprise
Since the beginning, Enterprise Mobility has strived to be an engaged corporate citizen that makes a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work. The Enterprise Mobility Foundation oversees and funds a variety of initiatives focused on creating positive impacts through long-term partnerships with nonprofit organizations such as Son of a Saint.
Briefly describe the mission and objectives of your organization.
Enterprise Mobility is united under a core purpose: Advance the world, one journey at a time. Stemming from one of our founding values “We strengthen our communities one neighborhood at a time.”
What motivated your organization to engage in a partnership with Son of a Saint?
At Enterprise Mobility, we’re focused on strengthening communities in one neighborhood at a time. We do this by fostering a culture of community engagement as well as funding programs that protect the environment, drive social progress and empower the places where we live and work. Aligning with Son of a Saint fits perfectly with our core values.
What has been the most unique or impactful component of your organization’s partnership with Son of a Saint?
Enterprise Mobility has not only been able to support Son of Saint monetarily through our ROAD Forward initiative and Enterprise Foundation, but we have also been able to provide some sweat equity through our recent oil change demonstration, hosted at our internal service center.
What does mentorship mean to your organization? How do you promote mentorship within your organization?
Mentorship is a key component in Enterprise culture. Each career track employee must start as a Management Trainee, so as you move through your career, mentoring those coming into the company is seamless as many of us have similar paths, adversity, and triumphs.
What does investing in the future of New Orleans look like for your organization?
Enterprise Mobility makes a difference through three critical components: volunteerism, giving campaigns, and grant donations. Through the “My Purpose. My Time.” benefit, team members can devote a paid day to volunteer for an organization or cause of their choice. Team members can support specific organizations through annual giving campaigns as well as other charities year-round via payroll giving programs. Team members and their spouses or domestic partners who are actively engaged with a local nonprofit have the opportunity to apply for a charitable grant on that organization’s behalf each year.
Do you have any words of advice or encouragement for Son of a Saint mentees?
Son of a Saint provides mentorship and programs designed to propel each of its mentees through society. Take advantage of each opportunity as you drive forward through your personal journeys.
What do you envision for the future of your organization’s partnership with Son of a Saint?
This year’s oil change demonstration was a huge success. With Son of a Saint sponsoring driver’s education and Enterprise Mobility teaching valuable maintenance tips, this partnership is perfect to ensure the mentees are comfortable when on the road.
