Briefly describe the mission and objectives of your organization.

For more than six decades, Raymond James has focused on putting people and their financial well-being above all else, investing our time, money, and talents into the communities we serve. Giving back is more than a tradition– it's who we are. Our ethos is deeply rooted in fostering community well-being and uplifting those around us.

What motivated your organization to engage in a partnership with Son of a Saint?

Our firm has been passionately committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Our Raymond James Cares program is a testament to that dedication. Since Raymond James Cares Month began in 2012, our advisors, associates, and clients have volunteered more than 74,000 hours. For more than a decade, we’ve celebrated Raymond James Cares Month as both a time of collaboration and camaraderie across the entire firm and to have a positive impact across our communities. This spirit of service naturally led our associates to partner with Son of a Saint, an organization whose mission to support and mentor young men perfectly aligns with our values of community and stewardship.

How does your partnership with Son of a Saint align with the core values and goals of your organization?

Raymond James’ roots run deep in volunteerism and giving back to the communities where we work and live. Partnering with Son of a Saint allows our associates to extend our commitment to nurturing the next generation, ensuring that young men have the guidance and resources they need to thrive.

The Raymond James staff generously assembled and donated back-to-school supplies for Son of a Saint mentees.

What has been the most unique or impactful component of your organization’s partnership with Son of a Saint?

Earlier this summer, our office had the pleasure of hosting a dinner and discussion with several mentees interested in finance. This memorable and inspiring event allowed us to learn more about these remarkable individuals. We also had the opportunity to share insights about Raymond James, our industry, and ourselves. This direct interaction has been profoundly impactful, as it allowed us to see firsthand the potential of these young men and contribute to their personal and professional growth.

Do you have any words of advice or encouragement for Son of a Saint mentees?

Be uncomfortable for a year (or a few), to be comfortable for the rest of your life. Embrace the challenges and opportunities that come your way, knowing that each step forward is an investment in your future success.

What do you envision for the future of your organization’s partnership with Son of a Saint?

Our office envisions a longstanding and impactful relationship with not only the organization but the mentees. We want to provide financial literacy to the mentees and provide them with guidance and resources to help overcome life obstacles. Our goal is to continue empowering these young men, offering them the tools and knowledge they need to build successful futures, and in turn, create a positive ripple effect throughout our community.
