Scholars

Son of a Saint Scholars transforms Louisiana state tax liability dollars into life-changing educational opportunities. Through this program, qualifying students receive scholarships to attend tuition-based private and parochial schools—opening doors that would otherwise remain closed.

Since 2019, Son of a Saint Scholars has awarded over $3.4 million in scholarships to students across Louisiana. That’s more than 700 scholarships.

Today, we also accept applications from students outside of Son of a Saint, including girls throughout our region. In partnership with the Louisiana Department of Education, we’re creating access to quality education and brighter futures, one scholarship at a time.

Opportunity Through Education

The Son of a Saint Scholars Program is an approved School Tuition Organization (STO) participating in the Louisiana Tuition Donation Tax Credit (TDC). The program offers a state income tax credit to individual taxpayers or corporations that designate their state tax liability dollars to certified STOs. Our program automatically allocates 100% of each taxpayer’s designations to fund qualifying student scholarships.
